What was asked for:
The customer had a well sized but falling down outbuilding that he wanted to renovate while maintaining the character of the building.
What we did:
We stripped back the outbuilding to leave only 4 feet of the exterior wall. We then built up to the full height using a timber frame and wood cladding.
A new roof was built and a reclaimed garage door was installed that the customer had specified that we use.
To complete the finished look the original stone wall was painted white and we think it really sets off the colour of the timber.
What Mr Marley had to say about us:
"A friend recommended Clober Construction so I was happy to include them on a short roster of local builders to undertake the far from straightforward job of bringing back to use a large
outbuilding (800 sq ft).
The building has no real foundations as such so Trevor and his team designed a lightweight framework to support a new roof and heightened walls. This proved to be a winning idea and with a
very acceptable quote was given the work.
(No other builder put such effort into their initial quote indeed all suggested demolition as the answer)
The work itself was concluded professionally, timeously and with such courtesy that I can highly recommend that anyone with a building project contact Clober Construction.
